Player Rating: Real Madrid 2-0 Real Betis. LaLiga 2024
Introduction: Player Rating
Two goals from Kylian Mbappe helped Real Madrid get back to winning ways.
Full player ratings for the tournament are below:
Thibaut Courtois 7: Made just two saves on the night. He is reliable with his game and sharp shooting angles with his positioning.
Dani Carvajal – 8: He was back in top form tonight. He offers attacking width as a right winger and fights defensively against Apte and Berath.
Eder Militao – 8: High header from a corner. His pace is a deceptive indicator in defence, as he twice thwarted Ruipal when he retired last.
Antonio Rudiger – 7: A routine switch rarely tested by Betis’ attack.
Ferland Mendy – 6: Ancelotti wanted more from his defender in the final third and replaced him in the second half despite a good performance.
Aurélien Tchouameni – 8: Defensive Titan – Double winning machine. This is Chuameni from last season. The Frenchman needs to find that form again after the international break. He won 7/8 ground duels and 3/3 air duels.
Fede Valverde – 8.5: Started the season with a fantastic performance for Madrid. A lot of work in 90 minutes. He was one of the first candidates for an assist this season when he used a deft heel to send a through ball to Mbappé, breaking the stalemate. An important cog in this Madrid team.
Dani Ceballos-6: Great chance for Ceballos to get more minutes. It wasn’t a bad performance, but Madrid’s best moments came after Ceballos and Mendy were replaced by Brahim and Fran Garcia.
Rodrigo – 7.5: Started the season well but needs more goals to prove his worth. He made five key passes and completed three dribbles.
25 minutes of positivity from the bench
25 minutes of positivity from the bench. Madrid’s best moments came after Fran and Brahim’s double conversion. The Spaniard’s insufficient and overlapping shots forced the Betis defense into difficult decisions.
He almost scored, and given the 18-year-old’s frenetic qualities, one would think he would have fed the center backs with the goalkeeper after feeding Brahim with two shots between the center backs. Everyone guessed it. The toe shot saved him.
