Veteran star John Amos has died aged 84.
Amos, who worked on projects such as Good
Times and Roots, died of natural causes in Los
Angeles on August 21, Variety reported.
His son Kelly Christopher Amos mourned the death of
John Amos, saying in a statement: “I am deeply
saddened by the death of my father. He had the
kindest heart and a heart of gold…”

Amos’ acting career began in 1970 when he played meteorologist Gordon
