Introduction: Eagles vs. Packers

The NFL’s first trip to South
America was fun, with fireworks all
night long in Green Bay and
Philadelphia. Performance in the

Eagles’ 34-29 victory. The former Giants
running back signed a three-year,
$37.5 million contract that will pay after one game.

Barkley tied an Eagles record with three
touchdowns in his debut, set by Terrell
Owens in his first game with Philadelphia

in 2004. He had 24 carries for 109 yards
on the ground, two rushing touchdowns,
two receptions for 23

yards and a reception.
Jordan Love went 17 of 34 for 260 yards
and two touchdowns for Green Bay, but

was sacked with five seconds left in the game and had to be bailed out in search of an upset win. Malik Willis came in and threw an incomplete pass, but it was sacked by Eagles linebacker Zach Bowen, ending the game.

Defenders show similar performance

Jordan Love threw for 280 yards and two touchdowns, and Jalen Hurts threw for 278 yards and two scores. Hurts had two interceptions and Love had one. The Packers did a good job of keeping Hurts in front of them as he managed just 33 yards on 13 carries.

The running back shines

Philadelphia’s Saquon Barkley had 132 yards and three touchdowns, and Josh Jacobs averaged more than eight yards per carry in the second half. Finished with 124 yards

Jaden Reed had four catches for 138 yards, a touchdown and a rushing score of 33 yards for the Packers. A.J. Brown had five catches for 119 yards and a TD for the Eagles.

The penalty hurt Bakers chances

Opening plays are rarely works of art, but the Packers certainly didn’t help themselves with 10 penalties for 71 yards. The Eagles had seven carries for 57 yards.

The Packers were losing to the Eagles 34-29 when Love was injured in the final seconds

Love completed a 33-yard pass to Reed, but was hit by Josh Jacobs while throwing the ball a few yards away and was injured on the next play. Love stays on the ground before the limp leaves the ground. Malik Willis took over for Love, but left due to a partial burn. The Packers lost 34-29, but the biggest concern was a late injury to Love.
