The Rule’ has hit a major milestone, surpassing the
$1 million in pre-sales for its North American premiere.
With two weeks still to go before its release on December 4,
the film has generated immense buzz among fans.
According to Venky Box Office,
the movie has already raked in an estimated $1.208
million in advance ticket sales,
selling over 40,000 tickets across 850 locations.
Sacnilk.com reports that the film has already
set a record as the fastest Indian
movie to hit $1 million in pre-sales for its premiere.
Advance bookings for ‘Pushpa 2’ opened a month in advance.
While bookings opened on a strong start,
it slowed down a bit before gaining momentum
again after the trailer release on November 17.
With the release date drawing close,
sales are expected to rise further
with trade experts predicting that
the film could even deliver one of the biggest
openings for an Indian film in North America.
Pushpa 2 is poised to compete with some of the
highest-grossing Indian films in North America, including Baahubali 2:
The Conclusion ($20.77 million), Kalki 2898 AD ($18.57 million),
Pathaan ($17.45 million),
Jawan ($15.23 million), and RRR ($15.15 million). With its current trajectory,
it could potentially claim a spot among these blockbusters.
Directed by Sukumar, ‘Pushpa 2’ stars Allu Arjun,
Rashmika Mandanna,
and Fahadh Faasil in pivotal roles.
Scheduled for release on
December 5 in multiple Indian languages,
the film serves as
a sequel to the 2021 hit ‘Pushpa: The Rise’.
