Halftime report: The Raiders score a touchdown in the final seconds and score three points at halftime
Introduction: Halftime report
With starters on both sides of the Raiders,
the players vying for starting spots in the first half had a
chance to impress head coach Antonio Pierce and his staff.
Many plays and players stood out, especially on defense. Janarius Robinson started Game 3 with a fumble. Two plays later, Charles Snowden picked off Brock Purdy’s pass at the scrimmage and set up the 49ers’ starter for a field goal on their first possession.
The defense had three sacks in the first half, one each from Matthew Butler, Byron Young and Snowden. In the second quarter, Chris Smith II made a birdie pass in the red zone.
To watch NFL Network on Sling TV, you need at least a Blue Tier subscription ($20 for the first month). To see more NFL and college football games this fall, we encourage you to upgrade your Sports Extra tier coverage to Orange + Blue.
The Orange + Blue plan normally costs $60 per month, but the broadcaster is currently offering a $25 discount on your first month, meaning you only pay $35. The Orange + Blue plan with additional exercise costs $50 for the first month and $75 per month thereafter. The Sports Extra add-on has 18 channels including NFL Redzone, ESPNU, SEC Network, Big 10 Network and ACC Network.
The streamer is currently offering significant savings over four months on the Orange+Blue tier and Sports Extra subscription if you pay in advance for a Sling TV season pass. The plan costs $219 (was $300).
The comeback game continues to shine
This is the second year the Raiders have received support from the special teams department. Last week against Dallas, Trey Tucker had a punt return 43 yards. Tonight, Tyreik McAllister, who led the CFL in average and all-purpose yards last season, returned a punt 81 yards for the Raiders’ first points.
Peterman begins
After signing with the team last week, Nathan Peterman became the starting cornerback. The eight-year veteran ran a two-minute drill late in the half and capped a 10-play, 79-yard drive with a three-yard pass to Christian Wilkerson. Peterman finished the half 12-19 for 108 yards.
